The California State Standards Comprehensive - Unofficial Website
The Standards are the knowledge and skills the state of California wants students to know, understand and apply in a deep manner. This website will provide unprecedented interactive access to students, parents, communities, and teachers. I created this website to support my standards-based education program and its integrated projects. My goal is to improve academic achievement, clarify and define what students should learn (Knowledge/ skills). My vision is to create an interactive map to all of the standards that will be placed on this home page above. Laying access to all of the standards. Because of the scope of this website, I will be focusing on the high school standards. If anyone is interested in any other grade level drop me a line. I will make sure to do that grade level next. The commitment to a high-quality education, based on sound content standards is one that needs to be shared by all.

About the CSS California State Standards
Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level.
CSS Key Design Considerations
A focus on results rather than means
By emphasizing required achievements, the Standards leave room for teachers, curriculum developers, and states to determine how the standards should be reached and what additional topics should be addressed. Thus, the Standards do not mandate such things as a particular writing process or the full range of metacognitive strategies that students may need to monitor and direct their thinking and learning. Teachers are therefore free to provide students with whatever tools and knowledge that professional judgment and experience deem to be most helpful for meeting the Standards.
